What is PLANT, Inc.?

PLANT, Inc. is a network of independent teachers, tutors, coaches and mentors who share a Biblical Worldview.  PLANT, Inc. is not a school and it is not a co-op, we provide administrative services to teachers. 

The best analogy we have is that of the antique mall where a buyer can visit one place to buy from multiple sellers.  PLANT is like an antique mall for education where you as a seller of teaching, tutoring, coaching or mentoring services can join together with others selling similar services to share a common website, registration, and/or physical location. 

This benefits you by creating a centralized place for parents to come to find you and to register for your classes..  We feel this is the best way to ensure that the parent maintains control of educational choices and the teacher is afforded independence in creating an interesting and challenging learning environment.  

However, it is important that teachers understand their role in this model.  We do not have staff on sight to oversee the safety of children to and from classes, nor to communicate with parents, therefore, you the teacher, must take full responsibility for those students entrusted to you and maintain communication with parents.

Requirements for Joining

  • You must be an independent business entity and pay your own taxes.
  • You must agree with our Statement of Faith
  • If you choose to teach at one of our arranged locations you must provide a background check conducted by a third party.
  • Agree to our Terms of Service
  • Agree with our Facilities Usage Agreement with the participating facilities
  • Design and implement an independent learning opportunity in which you choose and provide your own materials, set your own price, target population, place/time.
  • Must Attend a mandatory teacher information meeting before listing your class.  Watch video.

 2024-2025 Fees:
  • Del Norte Baptist Church  10% + $20/student/class
  • Redemption Hill Church 10% + $5.00/student/class
  • Grace Church 10% + $5.00/student/class
  • Escape in Time 1100 San Mateo #21 10% + $20/student/class 
  • Valley View Church (Edgewood) 10% + $5.00/student/class
  • Other Location (no rent) 10% + $5.00/student/class
  • Other Location (rent) 10% + $5/student/class + actual rent expenses​
Location fee is per semester and may be prorated for longer or shorter classes. 

Advertising Only

New PLANT Services
Class Listing (without registration, payment collection or facilities) – For businesses with a Biblical Worldview that have their own facilities and website.  Must sign terms of service and agree to statement of faith.
 
$50 – 6-month class listing in PLANT class catalog – registration button will link to external website.
$35 each additional (different description) class
$15 repeat same class at different days/times

Teachers may wish to opt out of the registration, payment collection and facilities services and choose to only utilize the class listing service by paying an up front advertising fee. The fee must be paid by cash, check or Zelle before a class will be listed.
