For the 2017-18 school year, I will be teaching General Science from a godly point of view using the Apologia Physical Science and Solutions and Test manual (which you would need to get). We will spend two weeks on each chapter/module (called a “module” in the text) for a total of 32 sessions. At each 1.5 hour class, I will guide your children through the experiments and lecture and discuss the material covered in the module.
Recommended additional material:
You are ultimately in control of how this class goes. You have to determine whether your child is benefited by answering the On Your Own Questions, filling out the Study Guide, and taking the tests. He/she may not be ready yet, or, he/she may have to be ready whether he/she wants it or not, or he/she may be ready. Including these aspects of the class teaches valuable study techniques, but you get to decide how many to implement.
