Mediterranean Cruise: Passport to Geography
Set Sail on a Mediterranean Adventure! For Ages 7-12 We will embark on a trip around the Mediterranean discovering 9 different countries as we go. Get your passports ready as we learn about the culture, language, customs, dress, flags and food of Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, and Morroco! We'll conclude our tour with a trip through time with Mr. Peabody and Sherman. |
S.T.U.F.F. Logan was instrumental in designing and planning Standing Tall United for Freedom! (S.T.U.F.F.) Week. She served on the Steering committee and the staff team. She adapted the 'How a Bill Becomes a Law' skit, acted and directed it. She served as a committee leader and a small group leader. In this four-day, leadership class students aged 13-18 learned civic engagement. This in-person, interactive, fun event included writing a bill, participating in mock legislature, learning from teen role models, hearing from prominent individuals fighting for freedom in New Mexico, discussing in committees, worshiping, and exploring Biblical mandates for Christians. |
This is the Day... a History of Holidays
For ages 6-12 Celebrate the day! This class is a celebration and history of major holidays as well as a look into national days. We will look at food, customs and traditions of various days and celebrations examining what lies behind some of our favorite holidays. Each week will include food and five out of 15 can be considered full lunch. |
First Lego League Jr.
FIRST LEGO League Jr.* is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO®. As one of two teen mentors, Logan helped guide the team in building mechanized models using Legos and creating a show me poster of what they learned. The Team was guided by FIRST Core Values which include: Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork and Fun. They displayed their final model and poster at the Albuquerque Expo. Craft and Science 1
A Follow-up to KinderCraft and Science, For ages 5-7 We will study God's World in more detail looking at the Solar System, Weather, Air and Water. We will read about the topic we are studying and create a craft to help solidify our learning and understanding. Topics may include: the Sun, the planets, the moon, temperature, light, water cycle, wind, air, lift, water, bouyancy, and surface tension. This class is taught by Logan Koerner, a 15 year old homeschool student who loves hands on learning and her mom. |
KinderCraft and Science
Rockets, Robots, Volcanoes, Oh My! Ages 4-7 The goal of this class is for young students to have fun exploring the physical wonders of God's world through hands on crafts and projects. Every other week will be science and every other week art although there is a little of both every week. We will build rockets, erupt volcanoes, play with robots, mix colors, paint, create, design, fly planes, and build structures. We will explore how God created the world according to certain reliable rules. Teacher Bio: Logan is a 15-year-old homeschool student who loves people and loves hands on learning. This class is made up of the best of her homeschool experiences. She is assisted by her mom. We may also bring in some guest teachers. |
