Pioneer History Workshop

This workshop is intended to demonstrate the use of the Heroes and Heroines of the Past: American History curriculum for 1st - 6th grade by Amy Puetz Fox.  The author herself is coming from Wyoming to conduct this workshop for us.  Through the use of historical costumes and interactive activities the workshop brings history to life.  Some students will participate in a skit and all will have the opportunity to participate in a Pony Express race with stick horses.  Fascinating stories about real pioneers will take you on a journey through the pioneer era.  Participants will also complete a craft.  Students ages 5-14 will enjoy this hands-on experience but all ages are welcome.  To learn more about the author and the curriculum please visit:  http://amypuetz.com.
