About the class:
This class will utilize the Song School Spanish curriculum which focuses on learning vocabulary words and phrases as well as basic sentence structure while utilizing the Classical Method, which is driven by using song and chant to aid with memorization. This class is ideal for the beginning Spanish learner thru those with a little previous experience with the Spanish language.
About Leah Hopkins:
Leah is a Homeschooling mom of 4 kids ages 4 thru 11. She has a Bachelor’s degree from UNM in Education, Dance, and Spanish. More recently she has used her time to educate her children, and has spent time in the classroom as a 2nd grade teacher (including basic Latin), reading teacher, and office staff at Oak Grove Classical Academy.
She has a passion for educating children in a way that will inspire them to live for the Lord and put maximum effort into all they do. She is also very passionate about physical fitness and health, currently training as a Ninja Athlete. Her other passions include, sewing, cake decorating, and has coached dance, cheer and gymnastics as well! She just moved to Cedar Crest and hopes to one day have horses as her family dreams of owning and riding horses!
