Oh, the Drama!!
This class is for boys and girls from 6 to 12 years old to be exposed to the fun and function of drama and theatre. The class will give students an exposure to different types of acting for the stage. Students will explore genres from comedy to dramatic interpretation to improv. It will be a class full of imagination and movement.
We will also introduce confidence building games and practice beginning techniques for the stage. These will include voice modulation and projection, stage presence, and character development. The students will be involved in producing several sketches throughout the year and learn the process from beginning to end.
A focus of the class will be how we are created in the image of God and He has given each of us the ability to be creative. We will be using Scripture and Bible stories as a foundation of the class.
Denise Raykovics has a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting and owns her own production company. She lived in Brussels, Belgium working with voice actors for the cartoon “Super Book”- Romanian translation and training others how to produce television. She is also a director of children’s theatre and high school - adult productions. She has worked with the NM Fine Arts Festival for 20 years as a judge and as a coach. She is a Certified Minister and enjoys nothing more than encouraging others in their Faith. She is also a Missions Consultant for the NM Ministry Network and brings her international experience into every class she teaches.
