You are invited to write for PLANT, Inc. Here's how:
PLANT, Inc. accepts unsolicited submissions for consideration. Pieces that adhere to the guidelines described below are more likely to be published on the site. Submissions must be original work not published elsewhere. The PLANT, Inc. Board reserves the right to not publish submissions at their discretion. Send submissions as Word documents, along with biographical information (three to five sentences, including your experience in parent led education) to [email protected]. Audience We anticipate the audience for our blog to be a diverse group of parents and or educators in the Albuquerque, NM area seeking to train up their own children or grandchildren as well as parents of a variety of educational choices contemplating a greater role in leading their children's education. Readers may have children who are enrolled in public, private or charter schools as well as homeschools, part-time schools, on-line schools, homeschool co-ops or other educational alternatives. Our goal is to promote greater parental involvement in every child's education. While personal stories of educational failures are welcome and encouraged please be respectful of others who may be experiencing success in similar situations. Local Requirement All posts must include stories or experiences that occurred in the Albuquerque, NM metro area that includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Torrance, Valencia County or Santa Fe County or while residing within these areas (i.e. educational travel, or taking classes outside the area while residing in the area). Length Post should be less than 1000 words. Telling a story in fewer words that are compelling and powerful is more successful online than lengthy efforts. Post Styles Several types of posts are acceptable for this blog:
Editing Posts may be edited for grammar, punctuation, style, formatting, and editorial flow. The blog's editors may return a submission to suggest changes, omissions, and/or additions the editors deem necessary to strengthen or otherwise make the post appropriate for publishing on the PLANT, Inc. blog. Title and Bio All submissions must include a title, subject to modification by the blog editors. All posts should be signed using author's real name and include a one-two line bio. If the author is a student please include age. Images All posts must include an appropriate and applicable image. Photos may only be used if you have the rights to use them. Short videos are also encouraged. Promotion Blog posts may be promoted using social media, or e-mail newsletters. Authors are strongly encouraged to promote their posts using their personal networks and to share their posts. Rights Writers retain all rights to their pieces published on parentlednetwork.org. If you would like to cross-post or reprint your blog elsewhere, please include the line "This piece originally appeared at parentlednetwork.org" with a link back to the original on this site. Payment We do not pay for blog submissions. Thank you for contributing your time to help other parents to be successful parent educators.
